250th Anniversary of the US Army

250th Anniversary of the US Army

This week marks the 250th birthday of the US Army. On June 14, 1775, the Second Continental Congress voted to establish the Continental Army. This was our nation's first military force, more than a year before the Declaration of Independence was signed.

On June 14, 2025, a grand military parade will be held in Washington, D.C. President Trump will welcome veterans, active duty troops, Gold Star Families, wounded warriors and patriotic Americans from across the country to honor the legacy of the men and women who have served in the Army from the Revolutionary War to present day.

To everyone who has served in the Army or is serving now, we salute you! Thank your for your service, bravery and loyalty in defending liberty here and around the world.
